Bags and Luggage

Bags larger than 55cm x 35cm x 20cm are not permitted inside the château and must be stored in the free lockers available at the entrance.

Photography

Photography and filming for private use are allowed, but flash and tripods are prohibited inside the château. Professional photography requires prior authorization.

Animals

Animals on a leash are permitted in the park, but are not allowed inside the château, the French gardens, or the stables. Certified assistance dogs are an exception.

Prohibited Items

Drones are strictly forbidden across the entire estate. Hiking poles, sharp objects, and large umbrellas must be left in the lockers. Food and drink may not be consumed in the château rooms.

Common questions about visitor conduct

Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is prohibited inside all buildings and in the French gardens. It is permitted in designated outdoor areas within the park.
Can I bring a stroller or baby carrier?
Strollers are permitted. Metal-frame baby carriers must be left in the lockers, but a limited number of strollers are available for loan at the information points.
Are there security checks?
Yes, for the safety of all visitors, bags may be checked at the entrance to the château as part of the national Vigipirate security plan.
Can we picnic in the grounds?
Yes, picnicking is allowed in the park. There are several designated picnic areas available. Please help keep the estate clean by using the bins provided.
